Beatriz del Olmo, an artist in residence at the Sandy Spring Museum, is teaching about a dozen recently arrived immigrant students how to bind books. The books are personal histories of how and why the teens came to Montgomery County.

“It was very powerful because many of them they didn’t want to talk," she says.
